SUMMARY:Reiki I Class: "A New Beginning"
DESCRIPTION:Reiki entered my life more than twenty years ago and changed my life-for good and for the better! It blasted open my perceptions of reality and started me on a completely new path of curiosity and understanding myself and life. I was wounded\, and out of balance\, and Reiki practice helped me heal and experience new pathways of peace and harmony.\n\nInitiation into the Reiki tradition starts with Reiki I. And much is concealed in those words! Reiki I introduces you to subtle energy—the life force—by activating the energy channels in your body during a simple ritual performed by a Reiki Master-Teacher\, which is called an “attunement”.\n\n4 attunements are given in Reiki I to activate\, open\, and clear the body’s subtle energy channels. When these channels “come alive\,” you can experience your being in new ways. You begin to experience yourself as energy\, as a pulsing\, vibrating\, flowing\, life-force.\n\nThe rest of the Reiki I class time is devoted to learning and practicing meditative tools that help you grow your experience and sensitivity to sensing and feeling the life-force flowing through you.\n\nOne of these tools which has become the Reiki “calling card\,” so to speak\, is hands-on healing. In Reiki I you learn to practice hands-on healing treatment for yourself and others.\n\nThrough the attunements\, hands-on healing practice\, and the other meditative “energy tools” introduced in Reiki I\, your life-force flows and rebalances your energy system. Most people experience this flow and rebalancing as deeply relaxing and grounding yet invigorating. This flow and balance often manifests as emotional release.
